When I was younger, and I saw bird watchers (with their khaki clothes, binoculars, and clip boards) in films, I always thought they must be the most boring people in the world. Now I am one with the bird watchers. I love watching birds, and only wish I could see more of them.
On this site I will be able to look at birds. I know it's only on the computer, but I'm pretending I have the Khaki and binoculars.

Dalmatian Pelican (Pelecanus crispus)

  1. pouch turns orange red before breeding, and coverts back to pale yellow afterward
  2. wing span can reach 11 1/2 feet
  3. second biggest bird on earth
  4. covers eggs with feet webs instead of body for warmth
  5. it's named for a location and not the dog
  6. terrified of humans and will trample eggs and fly away if a human approaches
  7. IUCN-vulnerable
